Calling all Hop Heads!  Mike has 2 new beers on line for you to try.  First in line is Release Point Session IPA, coming out this week.  This is a lower alcohol, more user friendly version of a hoppy IPA, coming in at 5.8%.  It is brewed with both Northwest and British malted barley, has a medium body with a slight sweet start.  But then look out.  That sweetness is quickly balanced by the presence of Chinook Hops, leading to a clean fresh finish.  And yes – there’s more!  The aroma of flowers, spiciness, and citrus is provided by 2 late additions of Amarillo Hops and another 10 pounds added as a dry hop addition, adding up to an IBU level of 55.  Overall, this IPA is aromalicious and easy drinking!  Of special note, this beer is being specially brewed by Narrows Brewing for the Night Stalker Association West, a non-profit that supports the soldiers and families of the Army’s 4/160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne)  A portion of our proceeds will go to support the NSA West.

INCRDEBLE flyover by the  Night Stalker Army’s 160th Special Operations Regiment!    Check out these brave men and women and their courageous contribution to our country at  Cheers to you all and we couldn’t be prouder!

Next in line is a Wit style ale, also lower in alcohol and flavored with orange peel and coriander.  True to form, it is brewed using 25% wheat malts and absolutely different from US or German Wheat beers.  Come taste the lemony, citrusy, coriander notes.  Mighty fine!

How do we keep all this brewing and beer flowing you might ask?  Well, with another 15bbl serving tank that we are receiving this week, of course!  This should allow us to keep brewing as we get busier!  Cheers!

It’s that time of year again……it’s time for the 5th annual Gig Harbor Beer Festival!  Make your way to Uptown Shopping Center on Saturday, May 14th, from 12:00 to 5:00.  The remaining available tickets are $30, both online and at the door.  You’ll receive a 5 ounce taster cup, 8 tasting tokens, and a program.  All proceeds from this suds fest go to the local Gig Harbor Kiwanis.  We’ll be there pouring our Diver Down IPA and our Aprisour.  This tasty selection is made in the tradition of Berliner Weiss style of sour beers.  Read Mike’s tasting notes for both beers on the Beer page.
