BREW NEWS – OCTOBER / NOVEMBER 2016 – BRIDGING IDEAS, BRIDGING TASTE

NARROWS BREWING CO.

NEW BEERS!

As the days get darker and the rain gets heavier, so generally do the beers. As we transition from fresh hop and pumpkin season, Narrows has produced some brews you are sure to enjoy as you get ready to go into hibernation.

Ursula Imperial Stout – 70 IBU, 9.8 % ABV

Still available in both kegs and bottles is the Ursula Imperial Stout, but it’s going fast. The new logo which you see below on our new 22 oz. bottles accompanies a beer that is big, chewy and delicious. Tons of dark malts and the right amounts of hops allow for a slight sweetness to come through making for the perfect sipping or dessert beer…beware of the dark.

One-Hop Doc IPA – 50 IBU, 6.9% ABV

We’ve got a few kegs left of our fall single-hop seasonal. Released in September, this a brand new beer from Narrows, named for the New Zealand single-hop that was used to flavor it, “Dr. Rudi”. As for what kind of medicine Dr. Rudi practices, you’ll have to try the beer and figure it out. Available in kegs only.

Strong Pale Ale – 50 IBU, 9.9% ABV

A formidable strong Pale Ale brewed just in time for the holiday season. We brewed this beer with 3 types of malted wheat and 4 types of malted barley. This nearly 50% wheat build provides a smooth balance to the hops as well as increasing the overall mouth feel. Amarillo and Centennial hops added throughout the boil and whirlpool produce a clean bitterness and intense hop flavor complimenting an in-your-face aroma provided by dry hopping with Amarillo and Citra hops. Available now in 1/6 and 1/2 BBL kegs.

COMING SOON!

Keep an eye out for these new styles from Narrows as we move into November!

Narrows Dark Session Ale

This beer is for dark beer lovers looking for a full bodied dark beer without the accompanying alcohol content. Our Dark Session Ale is brewed in the style of an English Mild Ale, with seven different malted barleys and flaked oats making for a medium bodied beer that has a smooth and malty mouthfeel. This perfect “pizza” beer is light brown in color with a creamy head. A light hopping process helps to round out an extremely balanced beer. Available October 31st in 1/6 and 1/2 BBL kegs.

Back by Popular Demand –  Quillback Brown Ale

We will be re-tapping the popular Quillback Brown Ale for a limited time beginning Wednesday, November 2nd. This brown ale is smooth and easy drinking while providing much more complexity than a typical brown due to the use of a Belgian yeast. Created by one of our assistant brewer’s, Zach Dowling, every beer lover needs to try this at least once!
